Amped Labs Joins Ubiquity Developer Network PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 03 November 2006

Amped Labs is pleased to announce joining the Ubiquity developer network. The move will foster a new strategic consulting initiative with the Ubiquity mobile / Wifi SIP Application Server

About the Ubiquity SIP / 3G Application Server

Ubiquity seamlessly interoperates with wireline IP networks, including LANs, WANs and the Public Internet, as well as mobile 2.5G, 3G and Wi-Fi networks. In wireline and pre-3G networks, the SIP A/S communicates via SIP to other network devices, including media gateways for PSTN connectivity, network servers, media servers, IP phones and other SIP clients, as well as softswitches. In completely IP-based, 3G mobile networks, such as those based on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), the Ubiquity SIP A/S facilitates service deliveries by communicating with a mobile SIP Proxy Server (CSCF), a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) and Presence Servers and Game Servers among other application servers.

Image"Amped Labs consulting expertise will be strengthend with the Ubiquity products," states Amped Labs Principal Consultant  Britton LaRoche,"We are able to grow our client base by staying on top of the next generation services.  We believe these services will be the biggest factor in driving new customers and revenue to our clients. This is an important move for Amped Labs because our business is based entirely on generating successful service rollouts for our clients."

As the next-generation service delivery network continues to emerge, converged applications will drive service providers' revenue growth. Ubiquity's SIP Application Server is both a carrier-class deployment platform and a programmable, standards-based Application Creation Environment (ACE) that allows providers to develop, deploy and host these innovative services.

"We are preparing for the future while engaging consultants at client sites to develop on Ubiquity A/S application server projects."  Britton LaRoche continues, " We have one major Ubiquity client at the moment but we expect that number to grow in short order. Ubiquity has all the right ingredients to make the next generation service offerings very feasable, and affordable, in a short period of time.  We are sure we are making the right choice in pursuing a core competence with the Ubiquity technology."
